The carrier is the client
We are paid by you, so we work for you. When a broker pushes back on a rate, we are on your side of that call — every time, without exception.
Northbound Logistics was built by people who have run the miles — and got tired of watching good carriers take bad loads.
Northbound Logistics was founded in 2019 by a former company driver and a freight broker who kept running into the same problem from opposite sides of the phone: good carriers were losing money on bad loads, and nobody in the middle was truly working for them.
Our founder spent six years on the road running dry van and reefer out of the Midwest. He knows what it feels like to sit at a dock for five unpaid hours, to take a cheap load because the next one has not shown up yet, and to spend a Saturday morning chasing a broker for a rate confirmation.
So Northbound was built around a simple rule: the dispatcher works for the carrier. Not the broker, not the load board, not a monthly quota. We show every load before we book it, we negotiate every rate, and we never lock anyone into a contract.
Today we dispatch for more than 340 carriers across the lower 48, from single owner-operators to fleets running twenty trucks — and 96% of them are still with us a year later.

We are paid by you, so we work for you. When a broker pushes back on a rate, we are on your side of that call — every time, without exception.
Nothing is booked without you seeing the lane, the rate and the broker first. Forced dispatch is not a service, it is a trap.
We will tell you when a lane is soft and when your rate expectation is above market. You cannot plan a business on comfortable answers.
No contracts means we have to be worth keeping every Friday. That pressure keeps us sharp and keeps your rates where they should be.
